INFLATION & ASSEMBLY

Q: How do I inflate my Airblown Inflatable?

A: Under normal conditions, an Airblown Inflatable should begin inflating automatically as soon as it’s plugged in. If it has animation or motion, these actions should also begin upon plug in. If not, please check the following:

  • LEVEL SURFACE: Ensure the Airblown is on a level surface.
  • FAN(S) SETUP: Make sure all fans are level and plugged directly into a wall outlet or a heavy-duty outdoor extension cord.
  • FAN INPUT/OUTPUT: Check the intake vent to ensure it is not obstructed by fabric or grass. The output vent (exiting the inflation fan) should also be clear of any fabric or foreign object.
  • ZIPPER(S): All zippers must be completely zipped for your Airblown to inflate properly. Each piece may have more than one zipper. Check for hidden zippers in the seams. If you have a globe, there can also be zippers on interior characters inside of the globe. Please double-check to make sure all are completely zipped.
  • ADAPTORS: For 4FT inflatables, unplug your Airblown to check the adapter connection. There is a small groove on the adapter plug that matches a raised notch on the inside of the adapter port. Make sure the adapter is connected so that the notch slides securely into the groove. Plug the Airblown back into the wall outlet or heavy-duty outdoor extension cord.

OPERATION

Q: WHY IS THE ANIMATION IN MY ANIMATED AIRBLOWN NOT WORKING?

A: Please make sure the rotating cuff does not have fabric twisted around it, as this may cause tension and restrict the movement. If fabric is twisted around the cuff, please carefully untwist it. Make sure the Airblown is on a level surface and all other assembly instructions have been followed properly.

Q: IN WHAT WEATHER CONDITIONS CAN I OPERATE MY AIRBLOWN?

A: Operation of your Airblown during normal and light weather conditions, such as a gentle rain or snowfall, is recommended. Please follow the following precautions for inclement or freezing weather conditions:

  • FREEZING TEMPERATURES: Airblown Inflatables will operate at temperatures below freezing. However, we do not recommend operating the item if temperatures drop below 14° Fahrenheit (-10° Celsius).
  • HARSH WINDS/STORMS: Operation of your Airblown during extreme weather conditions, such as harsh winds and storms, is not recommended, as your item may become damaged or inundated with moisture.
  • SNOW/ICE: If your Airblown is covered in a light dusting of snow while deflated, simple reinflation should not harm the item. If the deflated item has been subjected to a large amount of snow and/or ice, do NOT attempt to reinflate. Rather, carefully remove the item from the extreme condition (i.e. bring it indoors) and allow it to thaw before reinflating. We do not recommend leaving an Airblown out for days or weeks at a time if you expect large and heavy snowfall to build up.
  • HEAVY RAINFALL/MELTING SNOW: If your Airblown has become soaked with water from a heavy rainfall or melted snow and you are having trouble inflating it, move the unit to a dry location and plug it in. The fan will dry the unit. If there is a large amount of water, open the zipper closest to the soaked area and drain the water.

DO NOT store an Airblown® Inflatable while wet. Please allow it to dry completely before storing.

REPLACEMENT PARTS

Q: WHERE CAN I PURCHASE REPLACEMENT STAKES AND TETHERS?

A: If your Airblown is still under the 90-day warranty and parts are available at our corporate office, we typically send parts at no additional charge. Please open a customer service account for assistance.

For items no longer under the 90-day warranty, you may be able to purchase parts online through independent vendors like Yard Inflatables that maintain a parts inventory.

Q: CAN I PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT ADAPTER?

A: If your Airblown is still under the 90-day warranty and parts are available at our corporate office, we typically send parts at no additional charge. Please open a customer service account for assistance.

Q: HOW DO I REPLACE THE LIGHT IN MY AIRBLOWN INFLATABLE?

A: To change the light bulb, first unplug and deflate the item. Next, unzip the bottom zipper (or zipper closest to the bulb) and locate the bulb needing replacement. Remove the light cover by squeezing it sideways and replace the bulb.

Airblown light bulbs are either mini lights or C7 watt bulbs, which can be found at hardware and lighting stores. You may also be able to purchase light bulbs through online retailers, like buylighting.com.

Q: HOW CAN I REPLACE THE FAN OR MOTOR?

A: Unfortunately, Gemmy Industries does not sell or maintain a stock of replacement fans or motors for Airblown Inflatables. However, motors can be purchased online at Yard Inflatables. Although we cannot provide support to assist you in the process, Airblown collectors have successfully taken care of these replacement needs by purchasing inexpensive fans or motors and transferring them to the item in question.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Q: HOW CAN I REPAIR TEARS IN MY AIRBLOWN INFLATABLE?

A: Rips or holes in your Airblown can be sewn by hand (no special thread is required) or taped with clear packing tape. You can also use tent repair tape to patch your Airblown, which can be found at most sporting goods stores.

Q: HOW CAN I CLEAN MY AIRBLOWN INFLATABLE?

A: Wipe your Airblown® with a damp cloth and allow it to dry before storing away. Use mild detergent if necessary.
